We were asked by Camelot global to help their US operations understand more about the consumer’s journey in playing the lottery - using driver analysis and qualitative insight to unlock both the emotional and behavioural elements of the lottery player’s journey we’re helping Camelot identify how best to influence player behaviour prior to, and in-store, play. We’ve also explored why communications are not having the desired cut through with consumers and how to address stagnant lottery ticket sales. This identified how comms were almost always focused on game announcements and showing consumers how to play, but ignored the prime emotional motivations that underpinned why people play. In helping one US State re-shape its lottery communications narrative we helped Camelot increase lottery ticket sales in that area by over 13.5% over a 12 month period in 2017.
